Lakeshore has it all

The communities of Lakeshore have an easy-going atmosphere and a real community feel. There are many outdoor community events throughout the summer and fall months that give residents a fun evening or afternoon out on the town. 

The Town of Belle River has a variety of schooling options with traditional Public and Catholic schooling options as well as French specific options through both school boards. 

Residents of Lakeshore can relax in the evenings with a walk along Lake St. Clair and take in the sights and sounds of the waterfront. For those looking to take in a Lion’s game or access big city amenities, Detroit is a 40 minute drive.

Things to Do in the Town of Amherstburg

Many of Lakeshore’s recreational amenities are located in the Town of Belle River and there has been significant effort made towards creating a welcoming community atmosphere. 

The Atlas Tube Centre is a multi-use recreation facility that offers ice rinks, soccer fields, a dance studio, a library, indoor track, tennis courts and aquatic centre complete with a lazy river. The facility truly is one of a kind and is a hub of the Lakeshore Area. 

The 270 slip Lakeview Park/West Beach and Marina facility provides easy access to Lake St. Clair and all the boating and fishing that goes along with living on the water. 

There are a number of excellent conservation areas nearby, with Ruscom Shores being the largest at 120 acres and offering a sanctuary to the regions shorebirds.
