LaSalle is a very popular bedroom community of Windsor with a large and vibrant Italian community.

With approximately 7% of LaSalle designated as a protected nature area there is plenty to explore and lots of wildlife to be spotted. The Ojibway Prairie Provincial Nature Reserve and Stanton Woods are popular afternoon excursions. 

The Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex covers 248 acres and offers residents two hockey rinks, a pool, fitness centre, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, outdoor picnic pavilion, variety of running/walking trails, outdoor amphitheatre and skateboard park.
