Essex has it all

Each community of the Town of Essex has it’s own unique feel which complements each other. 

Essex Centre has consistently been awarded the 5 Bloom rating by Communities in Bloom and has recently made efforts to restore the various painted murals found throughout the core. 

Harrow has a relaxed pace of life and is the host of Ontario’s most successful agricultural fair, the Harrow Fair, which has a 150-year history. 

Colchester is best known for it’s annual Walleye Fishing Derby which brings anglers together from around the Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair region. 

There are a variety of schooling options throughout each community and Highway #3 offers a convenient travel route to the University of Windsor and St. Clair College.

The Town of Essex is host to many fantastic wineries and is located along the EPIC Wine Country route. 

The Essex Railway Station is a historical landmark located in Essex Centre that is open to the public and features a well-maintained flower garden. There are a variety of active living opportunities available to Essex Centre residents through the Essex Centre Sports Complex which offers: hockey, baseball, soccer and a large indoor walking track. 

The community of Colchester is proud of the Colchester Harbour and Beach which gives residents a place to relax and fish, there is also a public beach which hosts two beach volleyball nets. 

The community of Harrow is well-known for it’s selection of local antique shops. Harrow is also home to a fantastic sports and recreation facility that includes a splash pad, single-pad arena, baseball diamonds, soccer field and walking trails. 

The communities of the Town of Essex have access to the Chrysler Greenway which makes biking around Windsor-Essex a very safe and enjoyable activity.
